Bring the Caribbean to Your Garden - Monarch Liqueurs
After a year of lockdown rules, many of us are in need of a holiday. Restrictions are easing as the weather gets warmer, but long distance travel is still on hold. Why not bring the holiday to you with these Caribbean inspired cocktails? As they say, it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere…
Our new cocktail recipe makes the most of Monarch’s Peach Brandy and Passionfruit and Coconut Rum liqueurs. The bright hues of peach and passionfruit will bring Caribbean colour to your garden, while the sweet and summery flavours will lift your spirits.
No one knows the true origins of the piña colada. Some say the recipe was invented by Puerto Rican pirate Roberto Cofresí, others claim it was bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero. Here is our own twist on the classic, using our Peach Brandy Liqueur.
Mix the ingredients together with ice until they form a slushy consistency, and decorate with a peach slice.
Much like the piña colada, the origins of the mimosa are hazy. All we know is that this bubbly and vibrant drink can be adapted to suit everyone’s tastes. While traditionally made with champagne, we think that prosecco compliments our Passionfruit and Coconut Rum Liqueur perfectly.
Move from the living room pub, and into the garden bar. All that’s left to do is to set up a chair in the sun, put on some music and relax with one of these cocktails!
