Autumn is fast approaching and here at Monarch Liqueurs, we’re ready for cosy evenings by the fireplace with a deliciously warming cocktail to help us relax at the end of the day. Autumn is all about warm flavours and gentle spices, so if you’re unsure of what drink to enjoy throughout the cooler months, let us inspire you!
If you’re looking for something fresh and natural to tickle the tastebuds, the Applejack Rabbit cocktail is perfect for a sweet and tasty drink - and it’s super easy to make! While we know that brandy isn’t as fashionable as rum or gin this year, our delicious Tamar Tipple Apple Brandy Liqueur can be enjoyed on its own or used as a base for various cocktails.
60ml Tamar Tipple Apple Brandy Liqueur
22ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice
22ml of freshly squeezed ounce orange juice
15m maple syrup
Garnish: lemon twist
Add the apple brandy, lemon juice, orange juice and maple syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist.
Warming and lightly spiced, our whisky liqueur is guaranteed to please those who love whisky and is the perfect addition to your drink cabinet this autumn. This light citrus-flavoured liqueur is smooth but with a little extra ‘punch’ being 30% abv which will definitely warm you up as you relax in the evening! Whiskey cocktails can be just as delicious as other spirit-based cocktails and we think our Tamar Tipple Spiced Orange Whisky Liqueur is perfect for autumn.
118 ml water
100 grams sugar
1 Orange (medium)
240ml Tamar Tipple Spiced Orange Whisky Liqueur
240ml orange juice
2 cinnamon sticks
Splash of soda water
Add water, sugar and orange zest to a saucepan and bring to a simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Once cooled, strain the zest using a fine mesh sieve.
Infuse the Tamar Tipple Spiced Orange Whisky Liqueur by placing the cinnamon sticks in a jar or glass dish with an airtight seal and covering them with the whiskey.
Allow to sit in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week before removing the cinnamon. (This step should be done in advance!)
Rim 4 cocktail glasses with granulated honey, or light brown sugar if granulated honey is not available, by dipping the edge of the glass first in water or orange juice and then in the honey or sugar granules.
Pour 60ml each of the infused whiskey and orange juice into each glass, fill with ice, and top with a splash of soda water.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick. (Optional)

60ml Tamar Tipple Toffee & Apple Rum Liqueur
60ml Apple cider or Apple juice
1 tablespoon Caramel syrup divided
A sprinkle of ground cinnamon or cinnamon stick for garnish optional
Ice for blending
Pour half the caramel syrup onto a small plate. Roll the rim of your glass around in the caramel to coat it (like adding salt to a margarita glass).
In a cocktail shaker, mix together the remaining caramel syrup, Tamar Tipple Toffee & Apple Rym and apple cider/juice with ice and shake until well combined.
Pour the cocktail into the prepared glass.
Serve and enjoy!
