Summer is officially here, so it's time to kick back, relax and enjoy the hazy evenings with a delicious rum cocktail. Other trendier drinks have come and gone, but rum remains a firm favourite for the warmer weather. If you’re looking for a little inspiration on what to make, here are a few suggestions for the perfect tipple for BBQs, gatherings with your friends or to enjoy by yourself!

Passion Fruit Rum Punch Cocktail

Looking for something sweet and tropical? If you’re looking for a delicious passion fruit cocktail that’s easy to make, you can’t beat this simple four-ingredient rum punch! Make a pitcher or glass of this tasty tipple and be transported to paradise.


2 ½ cups pineapple juice

2 cups Tamar Tipple Coconut & Passion Fruit Rum Liqueur

1 cup ice

⅓ cup passion fruit pulp (or puree)

2 cups ginger ale, chilled

Garnish (optional)

Lime slice

Passionfruit pulp

Pineapple slice


In a blender, add the pineapple juice, rum and ice. Blend until smooth and pour into a pitcher or punch bowl.

Add the passion fruit pulp or puree (either will work) and the chilled ginger ale. Stir to combine and keep chilled.

When ready to serve, pour in cocktail glasses and garnish with a lime, or pineapple slice and top with additional passion fruit pulp if you like.

Dreaming of a vacation in the sun? If your budget can’t quite stretch to Puerto Rico this year, bring home a touch of sunshine by creating a delicious pina colada! This sweet cocktail is made using rum, coconut cream or milk and pineapple juice, either blended or shaken with ice.


10ml of Tamar Tipple Coconut Rum Liqueur

300ml of pineapple juice

100ml coconut cream

Pineapple wedges to garnish


Fill a shaker with ice, and add all the ingredients.
Give a good shake, about 20-30 seconds.

Pour into a glass, ice included, garnish with pineapple wedges and serve!

Salted Caramel And Banana Mango Daquiri 

If you want something to impress your guests with a sweet tooth, this daiquiri is sure to be a hit! Combining the smooth taste of salted caramel with delicious fruity flavours will give them a unique taste experience! 


1/2 overripe banana OR 1 whole baby banana

1/2 cup mango chunks, frozen is best

1 oz Tamar Tipple Salted Caramel Rum Liqueur

A splash of vanilla syrup 



Chop up your fruit and throw all of your ingredients into a blender.

Pulse until it reaches your desired consistency.

Garnish with some mango chunks on a cocktail sword and enjoy!
